Hunter Douglas Blinds are by far my favorite window treatments, due to their elegance and flexibility, which allowed me to fins the best window covering for each room, while fully expressing my personality all over my home interior.

I’d say that Hunter Douglas created more than just window blinds or shades, but a real windows fashion. Besides, thanks to the fabrics and to the technology used , their window treatments are energy efficient, so we were able to keep our house warm during the winter, without paying too much for electricity. Here are a few of my favorites from their impressive collection:

Hunter Douglas Duette Honeycomb Shades

The Hunter Douglas innovation in this case is that the shades have three distinct air pockets, which help increasing the energy efficiency. With their 315 combinations of colors possible, and covering sizes from 4″ to 174″ width and 6″ to 192″ height, these Hunter Douglas blinds can be matched to practically any size of window and style of interior decoration. The possible pleat sizes are 3/8″, 3/4″ or 1 1/4″ and you can choose single, double or triple honeycomb, depending on your thermal insulation needs. These shades are very easy to clean, either with a duster or with the vacuum cleaner. If you choose to vacuum them, make sure to use the soft brush accessory included, in order to avoid damage. Under no circumstances should you soak cellular blinds in water, as it will destroy the honeycomb fabric. If they get stained, the best solution would be to ask the manufacturer what cleaning method is the safest to use.

Hunter Douglas Country Woods Expose Blinds

Country Woods ans Expose are both trademarks of Hunter Douglas. These blinds are really impressive, mostly because of their impeccable finish which looks like style furniture. They are really premium wood blinds and can be ordered even in case your windows have arches or irregular angles. In terms of privacy, these Hunter Douglas blinds offer full privacy, as they are totally opaque. They feature cordlock operation, but in case you want, you can get them motorized with a PowerTilt battery-operated remote control. The remote is communicating with the motor by both infrared and radio waves, so you can operate them even if you’re not in the room. These blinds offer a good sound absoprption and a 95% to 99% UV protection.

Although these Hunter Douglas blinds are quite expensive, I found them to be worth the price, because the comfort I’m feeling in my home is priceless.
