Cordless Mini Blinds Buying Guide

Cordless mini blinds are sold by many manufacturers and retailers of home and garden products. They make a great choice for people who have small children or pets, therefore they could get strangled with the cords, if left without adult supervision. As I intend to purchase such blinds for my new home, I’ve undergone this research and this is what I came up with: a list of manufacturers of aluminum cordless mini blinds. I’ve chosen aluminum because I want durability and a good heat protection, but I don’t have money for those special wooden mini blinds that make heads turn. This is a thing to consider when making home improvements: there’s something for each budget and for each wallet, so don’t aim high if your income is low, because you’ll end up either with lower quality products or with big debt to repay. It’s true that window blinds aren’t an impulse purchase and that we don’t buy them every month or even every year, so you want quality and durability in the first place, then you have to watch for other features you may like to see.

Hunter Douglas LiteRise Decor 1” Cordless Mini Blinds: priced at about $60 for a 36×48 size, these blinds are available in a wide array of colors: Alabaster, Almond, Azure, Beige, Biscuit, Black, Clue, Bright White, Buttercream, Chenille, Colonial Blue, Colonial Copper (my favorite), Gamet Red, Hunter Green, Rosewood, or Vanilla, plus many others. Of course, Hunter Douglas is one of the top manufacturers, one of the leaders and trend setters in the window treatments industry, so their products are sometimes pricey.

Bali Lightblocker 1” Aluminum Cordless Mini Blinds: available either in 6” or 8” gauge, these blinds feature slats made of American-made Alcoa aluminum, which is the world’s finest. I like their antistatic finish that helps repelling dust and is extremely durable and scratch-resistant. These blinds are also available in so many colors and shades that make my head turn. I’ll give you only my favorite color which is the Indian Bronze, closely followed by the White Gold. I also appreciate the fact that they come with integrated valance that makes them look very stylish and expensive, although they are fairly cheap. Bali blinds are very nice and user-friendly and if you know when to make your purchase, you can enjoy discounts and promotions.

Levolor Mark 1 Cordless Mini Blinds: premium quality, upgraded hardware and a wide range of colors are a few features that may convince one to buy this brand of mini blinds for their home. Like in the Bali case, these blinds have integrated valances and a concealed mounting system that prevents light leakage. As an innovation, the bottom rail is cushioned, thus protecting your window sill from scratches or dents. They are easy to install and to move up and down, as they stop in the desired position when you stop moving them. A bracket screw template is provided with your purchase, to help you with the installation.

Kirsch Plus 8 Privacy 1” Cordless Mini Blinds: because the 8 gauge aluminum slats are not punched for the cords to pass through, the light control is much better than in case of regular, cord-operated blinds. Besides, they are safe for children’s rooms. They come in very fashionable colors as well as traditional ones. The Aluminum Loganberry and the Metallic Metroplex are amongst the most interesting ones in my view.

I’ve got a longer list of cordless mini blinds, but I’m going to choose one of these four models, so I’m not publishing the entire stuff here.
