Cheap Mini Blinds
Cheap mini blinds are the perfect window covering solution for lots of situations when we don’t want to spend too much for home improvement, be it that we’ve rented it for a short to medium period of time, or we simply don’t care too much about high quality items to decorate our home with, or simply we need window treatments for rooms we don’t spend a lot of time in, such as storage rooms.
How Cheap Are These Cheap Mini Blinds?
Of course, the cheapest mini blinds available are the vinyl ones. You can find these 1” vinyl mini-blinds at prices starting from as little as $4 for the 18×42 size, going up to almost $10 for the 28×64 mini blinds, or $40 for the 72×64 ones, in case you have such big windows to cover. As you can see, you can have affordable window treatments that look decent at least in the first two years.
However, if you want better protection to heat, you’d better look for promotions at aluminum mini blinds, because they are much more efficient and they have a much better durability in time when exposed to direct sunlight and heat. You need to undergo some thorough research if you want to find cheap mini blinds made of aluminum. The cheapest I could find were $17, for the 18×42 size, more than four times more expensive than the vinyl ones at the same size. The cheapest brand name mini blinds I found were the Bali Essentials 1” Aluminum Mini, at the price of $21.25, for the same size as above.
In case of vinyl, color doesn’t matter too much in what the price is concerned. The black mini blinds have the same price as the white ones, so this could be an advantage if you don’t like the traditional white or ivory and want to go for darker colors such as black or dark brown. When it comes to aluminum, prices may vary, so you’d better check with several dealers before making the purchase.
You should be aware that custom made mini blinds will be more expensive than ready-made ones, so you’ll have to adjust your buying strategy accordingly. If you go for ready-made, you’d better choose the outside mount, because the measurements don’t need to be as precise as in the case of inside mount. Cheap mini blinds that fit most standard windows are usually calculated for outside mount.
